How to Clean Jewelry at Home

Nearly everyday we have a customer ask us, "How can I clean my jewelry at home?". Well, the answer is pretty simple. While there are many commercial jewelry cleaning products on the market, we recommend using good old-fashion ammonia cut with warm water and a soft toothbrush. Dip the brush into the ammonia and lightly scrub. Now, at-home cleaning isn't quite as effective as the methods we use at the store (we use ultrasonics and steamers for that) but it can significantly raise the "shine factor" of your favorite ring, necklace, or earrings. However, there is one important caveat: do not use ammonia on pearls!

For a deeper clean, drop by the store and we'll clean and inspect your jewelry free of charge while you wait!
